| Customer Reviews: "You Get What You Pay For!" July 10, 2010 Robert Jordan (PHILADELPHIA, PA, US) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
In purchasing an HDTV and Blu-Ray Disc Player, I became aware of the need of purchasing HDMI cables. I read somewhere that it didn't matter whether one used expensive Monster cables or inexpensive cables. In fact, the article said that investing in expensive cables was a waste of money. I took that person's advice and bought inexpensive cables. When my system was being installed, I remarked to the installation technician that I had read that quality didn't matter in HDMI cables. He said that was not true, but that, hopefully, we would be okay with the cables that I had purchased. When the system was installed, everything worked, seemingly okay. However, there was quite a bit of static and turbulence in the picture. I replaced the inexpensive cables with Monster cables and the problem was resolved immediately. The moral of this tale is "you get what you pay for". I have had no further problems since replacing the HDMI cables. I have a perfect picture on my new LED HDTV and Blu-Ray Disc Player. It makes no sense to spend $4000 for a home theater system and to connect it all with $10 HDMI cables. I'm not saying that one has to buy Monster brand cables, but one should buy quality HDMI cables.
Very Disapointed! May 22, 2010 Eric M. Smith (Winchester Va) I purchased this HDMI Cable to plug in my brand new TV to my brand new PS3 and it was very disapointing to see a snow filled picture.
12 ft Ultra High Speed HDMI cable April 12, 2010 Anita Margittai (Denver, CO) I just hooked up the HDMI cable and was surprised to see all images covered in snow--if this is a good cable, why is my picture not clear? Both my TV and my DVD player are brand new, I'm disappointed.
Good cable but not what was described or pictured March 11, 2010 Michael Scott (Georgia) This cable is working fine, however it is represented as a Nylon Braided cord and it is not. The cable is very flexible and I have not had any issues but it is irritating when you don't get what you anticipated.
