Product Description
No matter the time of day or night, your gaming machine gets heated up while continuously processing graphics and cranking complex calculations. Not only is this air cooler custom-designed for you PS3, but it has built-in ultra-quite fans that will reduce your PS3's operating temperature by up to 10 degrees. No other cooler on the market can do that. Keep your Playstation 3 cool even while playing for hours - and extend your gaming and system life.

5 out of 5 stars Automatic Cooling Fan for original PS3: A definite must have.   July 1, 2010

When you look at the "Automatic Temperature Cooling Fan for Sony PlayStation 3 PS3 Console" you think, this is it? Compared to the size of the PS3 console itself (Does Not Fit PS3 Slim) it's the length of the back of the machine, but about 3/4 of an inch thick. But once it starts working, it makes a big difference.
Once the PS3 hits a certain temperature the Cooling Fan kicks in and doesn't stop until it gets the job done. This is especially true due to the fact that it has its own on/off switch, so you can turn off the PS3 once you are done and it will keep working until the heat is removed from the system. Afterwhich, it will shut itself down until it is needed again.
Depending on what you are doing with your Playstation, you may not hear the fans anyway but, after you are done, the fans are almost soundless. This product is more than worth the price. I've no regrets and nothing but praise.

the item didn't work, nor did it look anything like the picture, I tried returning it and I'm still waiting for the credit, I'll most likely have to dispute it through my credit card, I'd never recommend this company.

Yes ps3 do overheat! thats why they shut off during game play and blink only a red light. If it blinks yellow then red then you have the yellow light of death. I dont know if this cooler will work or not but definately get one of your choice. This guy that says they dont overheat is an idiot.
