A game that is so-so. August 23, 2010 teddy This Prince of Persia was definitely better than the last one, the one with the girl. It made me think of the older Prince of Persia, kind of getting back to the roots. Overall it was a good game, the story wasn't really anything new, the last one with the girl had a similar story line, but it was a little too easy for me. Of course like all Prince of Persia games there was both puzzles and some fighting, but I feel like the puzzles were simplified compared to the older ones. Perhaps I am just so used to the games now that I find it easier to solve, who knows? I feel like a person who hasn't played any of the previous ones could without a doubt pick up this game and play without being it being too difficult. A good game to rent or borrow from a friend, I don't really think it is worth buying though, I beat it within a couple of days so renting would have been more ideal.
Very poor graphics August 19, 2010 mahmoud sobhy (cairo, Egypt) I just got my playstation 3 with great expectations on graphic quality but i was boomed by this game i have played the entire troligy on pc but it has been screen and much better modeling chachter than this one and put in your considration the time gap between them
Not a bad addition to the story. Worth $30. August 16, 2010 Mxous I really thought I wouldn't be very excited about this game but purchased because the SoT trilogy is my absolute favorite action/adventure series. But it really surprised me in delivering a solid Prince of Persia experience (unlike 2008's). The animations are a bit... weird... and the prince looks silly with just a beard, but the graphics overall were pretty good. The fighting really scared me as it looked way to simple unlike the later two of the original trilogy. However, I found the fighting fun and engaging with the different powers. Though some powers are a lot more useful than others and people will definitely find themselves using their favorite throughout the game. The game isn't very long... about 6 hours, but it doesn't seem to bad as long as you don't do it all in one sitting.
Great game for Prince of Persian fans July 31, 2010 Allen Smithy (San Francisco, CA) I liked this game. However, although I think this game is technically more fun than the last Prince of Persia, I truly enjoyed the last game more. The story in the last game was much more captivating, and the prince was a lot more interesting. Visually, I also enjoyed the last game more.
Good: There are a lot of cool things about this game. First, I'm glad Ubisoft decided to go back to the roots of Prince of Persia, which involves a lot of timing, booby traps, levers to open timed doors, etc. There are also some cool powers like freezing water, and reversing time.
Bad: There were a number of times where the camera bugged me. This is especially annoying when you have to make a series of jumps and you can't turn the camera to see where you need to go. I also don't like that I can't control the camera enough to truly enjoy the visuals of the game. There are many points where I just want to admire the graphics and I can't do it because the camera immediately turns back on you. The story is predictable. Not terrible, but not extremely interesting either.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this game, especially to Prince of Persia fans.
The closest they've come in matching the beauty of the very first version of this beautiful game. July 25, 2010 Amir Alturkistani (Pullman, WA) Some how this game reminded me of the very first Prince of Persia. And that is as big as a complement can get; no light seeds, no direct assitant from a magical princess, and just plaint Prince of Persia.
One of my favorite games that has ever been created is the original Prince of Persia that I played a hundred times on Genesis. And this game brings me back to those great childhood memories but in better graphics and in more tricky controls.
The only downside of this game is its gameplay length. It won't matter how experinced you are in Prince of Persia games, the game will always seem to end too quickly.
Never the less I would completely recommend this game especially if you're sick of the same FPS games that seem to be taking most of the attention.
